Ruisi Quartet collect ivor novello award
for növènyek by Thomas Adès
Tom Adès’ ‘Növènyek’ won the Ivor Novello Award for Best Chamber work 2023 at the London ceremony.
The work was written for the Ruisi Quartet plus mezzo Katalin Károlyi, Jo Havlat (piano) and Graham Mitchell (bass), with the premiere taking place at Wigmore Hall last year.
The original players will be recording the work in Spring 2024, and then performing it at the Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris in November 2024.
